In a quiet town nestled by the woods, lived a young girl named Ava. She had bright hazel eyes, a warm smile, and golden hair that shimmered in the sunlight.
Ava was known for her cheerful nature and was beloved by everyone in the village, especially her older brother, Josh. After their parents passed away, they had become each other's world.
One day, a new neighbor moved in next door. His name was Kyle, a tall, handsome young man with deep blue eyes and dark hair.
The town buzzed with excitement as everyone admired his striking looks. Ava, curious and friendly as always, decided to introduce herself.
One morning, as she walked through the forest, she spotted Kyle riding his bike. "Are you the new neighbor?" she asked.
They began to talk, and soon, they were laughing as if they’d known each other forever.
When Ava had to leave, she waved goodbye, her heart lighter than it had been in a while.
Days passed, and Ava found herself thinking about Kyle more often.
Then, one evening, Kyle surprised her by confessing he had feelings for her.
Ava was caught off guard, unsure of how to respond. “I… I’m sorry, Kyle,” she said gently. “I think we can only be friends.”
Kyle smiled, though his heart ached. “That’s okay,” he replied. They remained friends, but after that, something between them had shifted.
