August is a tough kid in the book "Wonder." He goes through a lot, including surgeries and bullying, but he stays strong.

When August starts at a new school called Beecher Prep, things get even harder. Some kids make fun of him and try to keep him away from others. But August is determined to find real friends.

One amazing thing about August is that he can forgive others. Even though a classmate named Julian bullies and excludes him, August decides to forgive him in the end. This shows how strong August is and how he can rise above negativity.

Via, August's sister, has a mature character—at least, that's what their parents think. Simply because she has been neglected for years, she shows no reaction. She is also a great sister, protecting and taking care of her brother. She had a great relationship with her granny, but she passed away.

In middle school, Miranda and Olivia were close friends, but Miranda grew hesitant to open up. 

She longed for unconditional love from parents like Auggie and Via had. Miranda joined the acting club and unexpectedly reunited with Via, Auggie's sister. Their shared experiences helped Miranda trust Via and confide in her. 

Over time, Miranda overcame her reservations and found solace in their friendship. Their bond bridged the gap between them, teaching Miranda the value of understanding and acceptance. 

Together, they embraced the joys and challenges, creating a lasting connection beyond middle school. 

Justin is a gentle and kind-hearted guy who is also Olivia's boyfriend. He shows great care and concern for Olivia when he learns about the issue between her and Miranda. 

Justin treats everyone with kindness and is known for his understanding nature. He has a keen sensitivity towards others' emotional changes.

Justin meets August and Jack when he visits Olivia's house and forms a close bond with them. He knows how to treat them with respect and offers support in various ways, including helping them navigate the challenges brought by Julian's affection.

Jack is one of August's closest friends. It didn't take long for Jack to realize that August has a great sense of humor, and they quickly became friends after the semester started. 

However, their friendship faced challenges when Jack unintentionally hurt August with his actions. Fortunately, Jack recognized his mistake and sincerely apologized to August. 

In a show of loyalty, he even stood up for their friendship by punching Julian when Julian tried to come between them. Since then, their relationship has grown stronger once again, and they continue to support each other.

Julian, much like his impolite mother, is depicted as a very rude child in the story. 

He puts on a facade of politeness and niceness when adults are around, but behind their backs, his true nature as a bully is revealed. 

He engages in hurtful behavior such as initiating games like "the plague," laughing at August's appearance, and using cruel words to inflict emotional pain.

While Julian appears to show regret towards the end of the story, we cannot overlook the harm he inflicted upon August. 

It is important to acknowledge the impact of his actions on August's well-being and recognize that mere remorse does not fully erase the consequences of his bullying.

Summer is extremely attuned to others' emotions and displays a remarkable level of compassion and determination to do what she believes is right. 

Despite being advised against befriending Auggie, she recognized the potential for a meaningful friendship and chose to disregard those warnings.
