Return To School Overview
Dear Buckaroos,
First and foremost, parents/guardians are a vital part of our team and helping us make our re-entry process as seamless as possible. Many of the expectations being presented in this document are in the best interest of all involved and ensure our schools are doing everything possible to maintain the most health conscious environment we can for our students and staff. Although there are many differing views on the wearing of masks, it is documented that the wearing of a mask minimizes the amount of students and staff being sent home after a confirmed case if masks were worn around the individual carrying the virus. We ask that you please keep your student home if you have any concerns, signs, or symptoms your child could be ill. Please consult a physician if you have concerns before your child returns to school. Lastly, we hope that this document provides insight and guidance for our students, parent/guardians, and community. SNSD is looking at this situation as an opportunity for us to come together and ensure our Buckaroos get the best education despite adversity! We look forward to a great school year!
Go Bucks!!

Ready for Learning Plan Update for May 11, 2022

At Home Learning In the Event of Mandatory Closing
Instructional Expectations and Logistics
Upon the issuance of a directive from the Governor or the Department of Health, in-school instruction will be canceled and all students will engage remotely in classroom instruction using online resources including Google Classroom, Khan Academy, and other digital content as determined by the classroom teacher. Students will be expected to complete and submit assignments remotely. Grades will be assigned based on demonstrated mastery of assignments as well as the level of student engagement in virtual classroom instruction.
At the beginning of the school year, classroom teachers will develop 3-5 days of “bridge” assignments which will be able to be accessed through Google classroom in case a shift must be made to At Home Instruction. Teachers will also be conducting lessons on how to operate their devices weekly, in order to prepare for a possible virtual model of instruction.
