Locard's exchange principal would say that every contact leaves a trace. This case was no exception. In this the evidence happened to be sand which was found on the bottom of Jennings shoes. Upon examination it was found that the exact same type of sand was also found in the bed of Mr. Hillers daughter. Again while this as a standalone piece of evidence is not enough to convict someone it is certainly enough to add to the validity of the case.
