Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab

Welcome to the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University directed by Dr. Alex Reiter. Our mission is to optimize treatment for musculoskeletal injuries. Primarily focusing on tendon and muscle, we seek to understand healthy tissue function and structure, assess changes that occur in injury or disease, and provide guidelines for improved treatment strategies. We use a diverse set of techniques from from wearable sensors in humans to preclinical animal model testing.
