I have created a larger scale model for accessibility based on the model previously created by L'Arche. I work as an assistant there and have utilized their model for accessibility based on three main components: autonomy, communication, and mobility. I have completed separate research to include how this model can be utilized by lawmakers, businessmen, event planners, and more to provide an accessible environment for those with disabilities and more specifically intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Dr. McCluskey has been my advisor throughout this project, and I have appreciated everything she has done for me to help me complete this project in a way that I hope can produce an impact. She has met with me repeatedly throughout this semester, showed me articles that she found to be helpful, and continues to have the patience to read and find ways to improve each draft I have sent her.
