Project Icebox: The Pack-It!

The Pack-It! by Project Icebox is portable air conditioning unit designed for converted camping vans. It aims to provide climate control and safety in off-grid locations. This device is ideal for people that wish to utilize existing 12V car batteries in their vehicle to regulate the temperature in a small enclosed space, like a converted van. The portable nature of the Pack-It! allows for mounting and use without any permanent modifications needing to be made to the vehicle. Its unique active thermoelectric cooling provides a more versatile and environmentally friendly solution to this common camping problem.

After graduating, Stephen plans on pursuing a career in manufacturing or small product development with a focus in robotics. Tyler Winkelmann (He/Him) is a senior Mechanical Engineering student in the School of Science and Engineering. After graduating, Tyler plans on working for the Consulting firm Kimley-horn with a focus in energy. In his free time, Tyler enjoys lifting weights, reading, and spreading the name of the lord.

Michael Kenney

Michael Kenney (He/Him) is a senior Mechanical Engineering student from St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduation, Michael plans to work for Gilbert Mechanical Contractors as a project engineer. In his free time, Michael enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time outside.
