Mrs. Arata's History Course

About Me:

I grew up in San Jose, CA. In high school I participated in cheerleading, swimming, Girl Scouts, and community service for neighboring schools and athletic programs. I spent my undergraduate career at Santa Clara University where I received my B.A. in History. From there I went on to Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo to earn my Master of Arts in History. I then went back to Santa Clara University where I earned my teaching credential in History and my Master of Arts in Teaching. I completed my student teaching at Sobrato High School, where I was privileged to be brought on full time to teach AP World History, World History CP, and US History. Last year, my family made the move back to San Luis Obispo and we could not be more thrilled with this amazing community and school.

In my free time I love to spend time with my friends and family. I also love to travel, cook, bake, and curl up with a good book and hot cocoa. I am passionate about history and have had a love for the past since I was in high school. In addition, I also have a love for coaching competition cheerleading.
