Third and fourth year pupils at Duncanrig have taken on the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge.
On Wednesday, 29th January, 40 talented pupils from S3 and S4 tackled the thrilling UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge during period one and two in the library. This intense competition features 25 multiple-choice questions that start off manageable but very quickly ramp up in difficulty. With the added twist of negative marks for incorrect answers after question 16, pupils must stay sharp and think fast.
The stakes are high, as the top performers can earn prestigious bronze, silver, and gold awards. It’s a true test of problem-solving skills, and the pupils showcased their mathematical brilliance in this exciting and challenging event.
