Li Lab

Welcome to Li's Lab!

Using computational and bioinformatic approaches to generate and analyze three-dimensional structures of protein molecules, to gain insight into protein sequence, structure, and function relationships, and to explore their application in molecular modeling, drug design and protein engineering.

Dr. Li is a member of the West Center for Computational Chemistry and Drug Design at USciences, which has several faculty members with a variety of computational expertise. Members at Dr. Li's lab have the opportunity to work and learn in a computational diverse and rich environment.

Our research has been supported by funding agencies - NIH, NSF, PhRMA Foundation, and NIH/University of Pennsylvania ITMAT. Below are active funding:

  • W.W. Smith Charitable Trust (Role: PI) “Developing positive allosteric modulators of formyl peptide receptor 2 for the treatment of heart disease” $114,777, 01/01/2023-12/31/2023.

  • NIH/NIAID – R01 (Role: Co-Investigator) “New non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors for drug resistant HIV strains” $1,555,006, Sub-award $299,192, 07/01/2021-06/30/2024.
