The Security and AI Lab (SAIL) at San Jose State University investigates the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Our research spans three core areas: systems security, applying AI/ML to security challenges, and securing AI/ML models.

Led by Dr. Amith Kamath Belman, SAIL brings together graduate and under graduate researchers to address real-world security and AI problems through applied research, vulnerability discovery, and the development of novel AI-driven defense mechanisms.
