Ruth Barefoot, MLIS, worked at Santa Barbara Public Library where she served as supervising librarian and kept the library moving forward during their transition of executive-level reappointments. She has also worked for the San José Public Library System for more than twenty-three years managing award-winning major initiatives, innovative services, and library branches, and for two years as library director in Anacortes, WA. Barefoot is a faculty member at the San José State University School of Information.
