Our Change Management Practitioners (ChaMPs) are a cross-divisional group of employees who are all Prosci-certified change practitioners. The ChaMPs meet regularly to keep Change Management at the forefront of our daily work lives. The goal is to identify best practices that align with our division, colleges, and departments. ChaMP Meetings are held every other month. This is an informal meeting focused on gathering to discuss change management concepts by working through Prosci's ADKAR model.

The conversations with Brown and Grant in the Dare to Lead Podcast series focus on change-catalysts, culture-shifters, and more than a few troublemakers who are innovating, creating, and daring to lead. The podcast focuses on Strong Ground, a book by Brown, which reimagines the essentials of courageous leadership. The collection of actionable and tactical insights explores the mindsets and skill sets we need to reclaim our focus and power growth while leading from a place of connection, discipline, and accountability.
The book expands on the insights and updates the research presented in ADKAR: A Model for Change (2006). In 2024-2025, our ChaMPs are reading The ADKAR Advantage: Your New Lens for Successful Change, which is available as an Audiobook sample.
The book focuses on the individual and personal part of change. In order to change organizations, it is important to focus on how a change reaches down to the individual. At each ChaMP meeting in 2024-2025, practioners discuss a different section of the book and how they are or have applied the methodology both professionally and personally.
Jeff Hiatt, the inventor of Prosci, explains the origin of the model and explores what drives each building block of ADKAR. It focouses on building awareness, creating desire, developing knowledge, fostering ability and reinforcing changes in organizations.
During Prosci Training, our ChaMPs all read this book. In Spring 2024, our ChaMPs re-read and discussed this book.
