Feast of the Assumption

1. Find some beautiful things to make a small "grotto" for Mary.

A grotto is a small cave like structure that is used to store tapu taonga.

2. You could use blocks, Lego, clay, fabric, pebbles or another creative material to make your grotto. It can be inside or outside.

3. Place a figure to represent Mary. In the times before people could read, artists would give holy women blue robes, so we knew it was Mary in pictures. You might like to do this too.

3. You might also like to put in rosary beads, nature beauty and other taonga.
