Park Day

We loved wrapping up our year playing at the park with 1st grade! Where has this year gone? So many memories and so many friendships. We are blessed in Kindergarten!

Welcome Spring

Today we worked on creating our very own bird nests. We could only use yarn, feathers (fake of course:)), string, paper, and sticks. Our nest had to hold 2 eggs and not break when we picked it up! What a tough challenge but we used our perseverance to make it through! We succeeded!

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

We enjoyed spending time with all those special people who came to try Green Eggs & Ham with us. We also set up leprechaun traps for the weekend! We were hoping to come back today to see some little leprechauns trapped in our classroom. No such luck! Maybe next year. :)

Practice words with us!

Preprimer words.pptx

Your child can practice their preprimer words at home. When they master them they can come see me for a treat! :)

Blending Homework Help!

I have attached a short video if you are wondering how we blend in Kindergarten. We work on this daily in class so that our reading will become more fluent!

Balloon STEM (11/3/2017)

Today we read Balloon Farm and then tried our hand at planning and creating the tallest balloon tower. Kindergarteners worked hard making sure their towers would not fall and that they had a strong support.

Welcome to our Kindergarten class of 2017-2018! I am so excited for all the fun things we will do and learn. :)

The 3 Little Pigs- STEM (10/13/17)

This week we read The Three Little Pigs and compared two different versions. We created our very own straw house, stick house, and brick house to see how they held up to the Big Bad Wolf (aka our hair dryer)!

Goldilocks & the 3 Bears- STEM (10/6/17)

This week we read Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Goldilocks was so upset that she broke Baby Bear's chair so the Kindergarteners helped Goldilocks make a new one!

Cracking Eggs & Making Words

Flashlight Friday!

Kindergarteners love getting to use their flashlights to read on Fridays! We are working hard on our fluency and blending!

Catholic Schools Week!

We love our school and we love being able to Praise Jesus in the classroom and in the halls! We celebrated our school this week with cheese ball games, baby shower games, collecting diapers, Camp Read-a-Lot, and ended it with a movie with friends.

Welcome to Camp Read-a-Lot!

January 20, 2016

We are 100 days smarter!!! We cannot believe how fast 100 days of Kindergarten have gone. It is even harder to believe we only have 80 days left. We spent the morning doing 100 day challenges, a 100 snack, and writing all about the number 100.

January 18, 2017

We have been hoping for snow in Kindergarten. It hasn't come yet, so we decided to have a little snow fun ourselves! We headed down to the old gym to have a snowball fight, practice blending words, and writing sentences!

December 15, 2016

Angels we have heard on high! Thank you to all the Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, family and friends who came to watch our Kindergarten Angels during the Christmas program. We worked very hard in music to learn all 12 days of Christmas.

December 14, 2016

With inspiration from the Gingerbread Festival field trip in our head we set to work on our very own Gingerbread Creations! Thank you to all who sent in supplies to help make this possible! Check out the Gingerbread houses at the Christmas Program tonight!

November 22, 2016

We could not wait to get ready for Thanksgiving by making Friendship Granola with our angels! It was delicious. We were so lucky to have Fr. Bob stop by and bless our mix.

November 18, 2016

Kindergarteners enjoyed wrapping up their Then and Now unit by making homemade butter! Some even said it was the very best butter they have ever made!
