San Joaquin County

Special Education Local Plan Area

Resources, Access, and Opportunities via Innovative Ways

During COVID-19 OUTBREAK

As you now know, San Joaquin County schools, along with all other schools in CA, are closed due to the Coronavirus. Thank you for your patience as the educational community navigates through this uncharted territory. These are extraordinary times! The information and guidelines from local, state and federal authorities will continue to evolve to the quickly changing environment. We continue to seek guidance from the California Department of Education (CDE), but at this moment specific guidance is not clear except that we need to do our best to support students with disabilities.

The San Joaquin County SELPA has created this site as a resource to our educators. It is a dynamic site and will continue to be updated as new information and resources become available. Ultimately, the well being and safety of our students, families and staff is our utmost of concern.

Stay healthy and take care of yourself and your families. We are all in this together!

Kindest Regards,

Brandie Brunni

Assistant Superintendent, Special Education SELPA
