Dr. Meena Laad is a Professor of Physics and Head of the Department of Applied Science at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, affiliated with Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. With over 27 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Laad holds a doctorate in Physics and specializes in Material Science. Her research centers on the synthesis and characterization of Metal, Polymer, and Ceramic Matrix Composites, Intermetallic Compounds, Nanolubricants, and Computational Material Science. She has more than 70 research publications to her credit in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals indexed in reputed databases such as SCI and SCOPUS.
Dr. Meena Laad is a Professor of Physics and Head of the Department of Applied Science at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, affiliated with Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. She is also the author of a book on *Thermoluminescence in Inorganic Solids* and has contributed chapters to books published by Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.

She was also invited by the Association of American Universities, Washington, to contribute an article on Women Empowerment.
