Presentation, Artistic Piece, and Video
Students were tasked with researching the creation story of a culture not studied in class. In groups, students would then demonstrate the creation story through a captivating presentation that engages the audience, aside from the added quiz component. The presentation should draw a connection between the culture's creation story and modern science, philosophy, religion, etc. Students were also assigned to create an artistic piece illustrating the creation story and major beings of that culture.
Presentation
Students were tasked with researching a story (that we didn’t cover) from the bible and summarizing/discussing it through a presentation for the class. They were to consider its context, main ideas, themes, and whether or not the story still holds value in contemporary culture.
My team chose "The Good Samaritan"
Presentation and Video
Students were tasked with writing and executing a complete lesson activity to teach the class about their assigned Norse Mythology story. The teams must also indicate the Power Standards and specific Learning Targets for your lesson activity. In groups, students would then teach their story through a captivating presentation that engages the audience.
Picture Book
Students were tasked with choosing a character from "Grendel" and creating a group project, in which they had the option of an artistic piece or a written chapter.
My group chose to combine the two options together and create a chapter, but from a picture book written from the perspective of Grendel's mom.
Film
Students were tasked with creating a monster using all of the diagnostics and rules associated with the creation and misunderstanding of monsters. Through a collection of interviews, research, film, art, novels, text (etc.), each group needed to create a 15-20 minute video that will fully immerse the audience into a world haunted by their own version of a misanthrope for modern society.
