State Theatre Mission Statement

The  Zumbrota’s Historic State Theatre is a community based, non-profit organization, part of ZAAC, the Zumbrota Area Arts Council, whose mission is to inspire and share participation in the arts and cultural experiences in order to enrich and expand the life of our community.

State Theatre Vision

To provide an historic place that is a unique welcoming venue that will bring people together to enjoy, enrich, educate, inspire and nurture an appreciation for arts and culture.

Many opportunities are made possible by grants from SEMAC thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund!

An illiterate stooge in a traveling medicine show wanders into a strange town and is picked up on a vagrancy charge. The town's corrupt officials mistake him for the inspector general whom they think is traveling in disguise. Fearing he will discover they've been pocketing tax money, they make several bungled attempts to kill him.
