This might be a sample application of a customized search engine (in that case, Search Mash may be a quick n’ easy tool to create your own search engine). Time has an interesting article about Google called Google's Growing Grasp. One interesting scoop is that: "Marissa Mayer, who manages search products, says the company has assigned more engineers to search than ever before and plans to release a new search tool that will enable users to design and build their own flavor of Google search, scanning just the sites they're interested in."  You can drag & drop specific search results (see how results 12, 13, & 19 appear before 1 & 2) and to the right side of the web results you’ll see 3 image results. A combo-box next to the search input box allows you to toggle between web and image search.  When scrolling, the search bar remains in place so it is visible no matter what results you are viewing.

Googler Matt Cutts Says New Toolbar PageRanks Visible

Roughly every 3-4 months we take a snapshot of PageRank values and export them so that the new values are visible in the Google Toolbar. I believe that another set of PageRanks started going out on Friday. New PageRanks are visible at many data centers, but not at every data center. Why not at every data center? Because some data centers are using a slightly older infrastructure for a few query types that are off the beaten path a bit (info:, link:, toolbar PageRank queries, etc.).
