I am an assistant professor in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. I am looking for motivated PhD students for Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 with strong analytical skills and research interest in learning and control of autonomous systems. Specifically, students with research experiences in control theory, optimization, robotics, formal methods, or machine learning (especially reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and data-driven control) are highly recommended to apply. If you’re interested, please send me an email with your CV and transcripts. In the meantime, please apply to the PhD program in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at ASU, and mention my name in your application.

Before I joined ASU, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Autonomous Systems Group at The Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at University of Texas at Austin  with Dr. Ufuk Topcu. I received my Ph.D degree from the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with Dr. A. Agung Julius. I am a recipient of Howard Kaufman '62 Memorial Fellowship, 2023 ASU Fulton Schools of Engineering Top 5% Teaching Recognition Award, and NSF CAREER Award. My research interests lie on the intersection of formal methods, machine learning, and control theory.
