Dr. Aijun Zhang is a postdoctoral research associate at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is working with the dean, Dr. Ackleh in Mathematical Biology. He attended Auburn University and earned his Ph.D in Applied Mathematics. After graduation he has worked as visiting assistant professors at a few universities such as University of Kansas, Drexel University, University of Arkansas and Oregon State University. His research interests are on Applied Mathematics, in particular, Mathematical Biology and computational neuroscience. He has published over 14 journal papers. His citation record is over 480 times from all over the world. One of his paper was published on the Journal of Differential Equations and was one of the most cited paper since 2010 by over 130 times. He has taught a wide range of topics in mathematics and statistics in his career.
