CLASS DESCRIPTION

Zen Yoga

Zen yoga connects the body, mind and spirit by building, harnessing and directing energy. Zen instructors design classes to channel energy flow throughout the body, opening meridian lines and guiding the circulation of Qi energy along the chakras. Each class concludes with deep relaxation and meditation. Zen postures are uniquely designed by the Zen Yoga Master.

Gentle Yoga
This class is specially designed for those who thought they were too stiff or not energetic enough to take a yoga class. Although the experience is very gentle, it can make a dramatic change in your strength, flexibility, relaxation and general health. This is also a great launching pad for beginners.

All-Level Yoga
These are also known as “open level” classes. Instructors of all-level classes manage the flow and content of each class so that all students (from basic to advanced) can participate at their own level.

Yoga I

Designed to introduce new students to the basic asana poses and to expand awareness of connection between body and breath work. This is a primer type class and is excellent for improving basic strength, flexibility and balance. Yoga I classes are always a good way to refresh your practice from the ground up.

Yoga I & II
These lasses are suitable for those who are new to yoga as well as intermediate practitioners. Instructors offer variations that are accessible to beginners while providing challenging options to more advanced class members

Yoga II & III
These classes bring the practitioner to a deeper experience, increasing flexibility, strength and mental clarity through more challenging sequences. Starting with Yoga II & III is not recommended for absolute beginners.

Hot Yoga

Being a Vinyasa flow practice, expect your body to be in motion for most of this class.The room temperature is set between 95°F and 105°F, opening your pores, warming your muscles and cleansing your deeper layers – think of it as whole body detox from the inside out! Hot Vinyasa class is a safe, less extreme environment– there is less strain on the heart, allowing you to comfortably practice yoga longer. As you flow through the class your body develops its own heat. Conscious breath sets set the rhythm of this class as you flow from pose to pose, awakening your body, building strength and unblocking congestion.

Pilates

Pilates is an exercise program that focuses on core strength. These customized mat-based exercises use precise movement, proper alignment, concentration, control and breath coordination to condition the entire body. Pilates delivers a challenging workout and dramatically improves muscle tone.

Hot Pilates
If you need a challenge then this is the class for you. Hot Pilates takes intense Pilates moves and puts them into a fast paced 60 minute routine. The classes are held in a room heated to 95-105°F. The heated studio facilitates deeper stretching and helps prevent injury, reduces stress and tension and promotes the elimination of toxins via profuse sweating. It increases circulation to all organs in the body and helps in the prevention of heart disease. Some Benefits of Hot Pilates are weight loss, detoxification, better mental clarity, reduce your stress, and reduced pain and illness.

Tai-chi

This gentle form of exercise can prevent or ease many ills of aging and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life. Tai-chi is often described as "meditation in motion," but it might well be called "medication in motion." There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health. It's a low-impact, slow-motion exercise based on gentle, flowing movements to reduce stress, and promote well-being.

Zen Meditation
This is a guided meditation class with Master Jason. It's a safe and simple way to create physical emotional and mental balance. Zen Meditation® class is beneficial for everyone, especially those with hectic, stressful lives. It teaches you how to manage stress; which in turn enhances your overall physical health and emotional well-being. In meditation, the overactive mind is calmed and turned inward. Zen Meditation® class soothes the nervous system, balances the right and left hemispheres of the brain, centers attention, gives perspective and clarity, improves the powers of concentration, improves memory, improves confidence, gives a sense of purpose, frees the spirit, and increases spiritual strength. The class will conclude with Zen Tea Meditation®. The class is also open to the public and donation based.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a quieting, supportive and deeply beneficial practice. Discover the peace and healing of utter relaxation as you learn to release the grip of your muscular, emotional and energetic systems. The session begins with very simple yoga to gently awaken the muscles and the mind. From there you will transition to a series of supported postures which can each be held for 15 minutes or more. The instructor guides you in supporting your body with props so that you experience what scientists call "the relaxation response" – surrendering layers of deeply held tension. The relaxation response has been proven to be replenish the body, especially the hormonal, immune, reproductive, digestive and nervous systems. Come relax!


Private Sessions
If you desire individual care or if you have certain areas that require more in-depth attention, these one-on-one sessions can help. Talk to us about the variety of ways to customize a private sessions. Examples of focus during private sessions include: breath work, meditation & relaxation techniques, individualized flexibility program, mental clarity, etc.

Healing Sessions
These unique energy-based sessions are a remarkable way to soothe and heal your body. In a healing session, the Zen Energy master customizes an approach according to your unique physical and mental condition. The goal is to attain tangible, lasting improvements by combining energy healing, exercise, and meditation. Open blockages, heal your body and mind and experience peace.
