Computer Architecture

The course "Computer Architecture" is dedicated to BSc. students in Business Intelligence (Level L1). The main motivation of this course is to understand both hardware and software aspects as well as the interaction between them. This will offer a framework for mastering the fundamentals of computing.

First of all, in this course, the history of computing technology is introduced. Then, details of modern computer architecture will be tackled; including numerical systems, processor arithmetic and control, the Von Neumann architecture and the micro-architecture including; pipelining, memory management, storage, and further input/output topics.
