Zakir Deniz, PhD

I am a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at Düzce University in Turkey. I received my PhD from Süleyman Demirel University in 2018, entitled: "Topology of acyclic complexes of tournaments, coloring and feedback numbers". My PhD supervisor was Prof Yusuf Civan

I was a visiting researcher at Boğaziçi University (2015–2016), invited by Prof. Tınaz Ekim, and at the University of Fribourg (2017), invited by Prof. Bernard Ries

Additionally, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Decision Support & Operations Research Group at the University of Fribourg in 2019, collaborating with Prof. Bernard Ries on graph drawing and intersection graphs.

My main research interests are graph coloring, structural graph theory, and topological combinatorics.

Currently, I am working on graph coloring problems using the discharging method, aiming to optimize the number of colors required for various types of graph colorings.
