Old Time square dancing is a great way to have fun with friends, meet new people, and entertain a party. No experience is required; all dances are taught, and dances are chosen to suit the age, experience and tastes of the dancers. Unlike Modern Western Square Dancing, traditional square dancing (and circle dancing, reels and partner dancing) doesn't have clubs, costumes or rules. If you're having fun, you're doing it right.

Just got back from calling at an event in Sunriver, Oregon. Music by the Worn Out Shoes. Lots of fun for everyone. One person said that not only had she never square danced--she had never danced before. I hope that dance was the beginning of more to come.
