Startup Dating
Dare to Date?
“Startup Dating” was first launched in 2014 with an aim to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among university students and offering them with the opportunities to get exposure to first-hand challenges and rewards of entrepreneurial ventures. The “Startup Dating” program is designed to meet the demands of entrepreneurially-minded students, both technical and non-technical, who are interested in fast-paced startup companies but lack of channels to access them. It helps students grow their skills, build their networks and get ready for their own ventures in the future.
Date: Feb 7, 2015 (Sat)
Time: 1:30 - 4:30 pm
Venue: Room 603, K.K. Leung, The University of Hong Kong
Application Fee:
。HK$20 for each student, paid at the reception or to Mr. Endy Chow

Before the Matching Day:
1. Students will register online and indicate their interest and skills. Participating startups info are given at the bottom of this page
2. The matching day event will formally start at 1:30 pm, but we recommend that all startups and students show up earlier to have more informal interaction

13:45 - 14:30 Startups Introduction (30 sec. intro & 1 min Q&A)
14:30 - 15:00 Games (Startups and Students participate)

16:00 - 16:15 Keynote (CEDARS & Dr. Z explain expectations)
16:15 - 16:30 Results Announced & Closing Remarks
After the Matching day:
1. Startups and students have three days to “cool down” and think twice of their decisions
2. Startups and students need to confirm the final decision with Mr. Endy Chow by Feb 10, 2015 via email
3. Students expect to work at least 10 hours with their selected startup per week until the end of April 2015
4. We suggest both startups and students keep records of the “dating” progress such as emails or blogs
5. We will organize an experience sharing event after 8 weeks and likely start another round of matching

Established in 2013, GoGoVan is a P2P platform for vans. GoGoVan’s app was developed to connect drivers and users, aiming to provide a more convenient and efficient freight service, enhancing the overall logistics efficiency.
