About me

I am an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I received Ph.D. degree in Statistics at Penn State University under the advisorship of Dr. Rongling Wu and Dr. Runze Li. I also have Master degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, China. My hometown is Cangzhou which is a city very close to Beijing and has a long history.

I am interested in developing statistical models and algorithms that are motivated by practical problems from sciences and engineering, and applying them to uncover the underlying patterns in complex data. Benefitting from my strong computer science background, I have the ability to handle/manage large-scale data. My current research mainly focuses on dynamic network modeling, longitudinal data analysis and their applications to computational biology, genetics and medical research. I am also interested in interdisciplinary research involving Big Data and working on models at the interface of statistics and computer science.
