The symposium "Young Women and Mathematics 2014" is funded by the National Board of Higher Mathematics, India, project "Indian Women and Mathematics" (see previous activities : IWM2012, IWM2013 and teachers training programme IWMTTP2013) .
This is a scientific meeting and will be held at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune during 25-26-27 July 2014.
This meeting is aimed at women students doing advanced Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral degrees and women at early stages in mathematical career. This includes post-doctoral scholars and young women faculty at Colleges, Universities and at Institutes. The meeting aims to bring together women from diverse areas of study and enable exchange of ideas and create networking opportunities.
There will be two mini-courses given by accomplished women mathematicians and eight plenary research talks on current mathematics. There will also be a panel discussion on "Science Communication and writing" involving eminent women scientists. The participants are encouraged to share their work by giving contributed talks or make poster presentations.
