Lecture Phase

First of all, the Philippines is the most strategic launching pad to Asia to meet the demands of the Great Commission in the area of evangelism and cross-cultural mission activity resulting in changed societies that transform nations in line with Biblical Theism.

     Secondly, without a doubt, the School of Evangelism will provide the environment for many Asian focused workers, who have already taken a step forward in doing Youth With A Mission's Discipleship Training School, to further upgrade, develop and sharpen their gifts and leadership skills as they seek out their role in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ spelled out in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go into all the world and make disciples of every nation."

TACLOBAN CITY - Following the terrible destructive fury of Typhoon Haiyan-Yolanda last November 8th, 2013, that claimed 6,166 deaths, 1,785 missing, 16 million affected and 4 million people displaced, over 200 Youth With a Mission (YWAM) volunteers and her many partners have flooded the City of Tacloban with initial rescue, relief, recovery, and rebuilding of homes, evangelism, discipleship and church planting. The initial Advance Team was the SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM WHILE ON THEIR OUTREACH.

     The YWAM Antipolo Training Center (headquartered near Metro-Manila) providing the majority of the leadership and volunteers necessary in maintaining a temporary on-going fruitful advancement in Tacloban City until a permanent Operating Location (Op Loc) was established in March 2015.

     A building and property was located in Tacloban City to serve as staff and student housing for all future YWAM purposes such as training, evangelism, mercy ministry, church mobilization and team housing. Final payment of Php4.5 million was completed on March 12th, 2015.

    Last July 5th, 2015, Mitch leading the YWAM Discipleship Training School which will begin it's 7 weeks of Lecture Phase in Antipolo before transferring to the center in Tacloban for the remaining 5 weeks of lecture and 20 days of outreach. The SOE will follow a similar pattern: 6 Weeks Antipolo, 1 week SUGE Outdoor Adventure and 5 Weeks in Tacloban City (Lecture Phase).

    The Outreach Phase will begin in Tacloban City, followed by a evangelistic Crosswalk in Bohol and Siquijor Island and 40 Days in the tribal area of Malaybalay for a church planting project in 4 locations of the Umajamnon peoples.
