If you are considering me as a potential supervisor or as a potential host researcher for your visit at Hokkaido University, please read the following.

Thank you for your interest! I accept Master's students, PhD students, research students, graduate research students, Postdoctoral researchers, and visiting scholars (professors) interested in theoretical analysis in public economics, microeconomics or macroeconomics. 

Our main research topics in recent years are listed below, but we are open to other topics as well. I don't accept offers to supervise empirical research. 

If you're unsure whether your research idea fits my areas of interest, I encourage you to email me your research proposal before submitting your official application to the university.

I'm also open to office visits and online consultations at any time. Please feel free to e-mail us in that case as well.
