In 1996, Yuko Nii, Founder of the WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center), created the not for profit (501(c)3) Yuko Nii Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to preserve and maintain the Kings County Savings Bank Building, which is a New York City landmark. The building is also on the National Register of Historic Places.

The further mission of the foundation is to preserve art and artifacts in the permanent collection for future generations and make them available for research, display and loan to other institutions.

The foundation owns a large contemporary fine art collection:

It also has an 18th & 19th century fine art, decorative art, books, documents and artifacts of the French and American empire periods.  Additionally, the foundation has an extensive collection of Japanese art from the 16th century through the 20th century.
