Research interests

  Assessing impacts of metals on aquatic ecosystems (particularly those on river benthic macroinvertebrates such as mayflies).

  How to predict effects of metal mixtures on aquatic organisms in a statistically (and, I wish, mechanistically) important manner.

  Estimating population- and community-level ecological risks using mathematical and statistical models including population models and species sensitivity distribution approach.

  Bioassessment and ecological risk managements (how to manage chemicals) 

  Issues related to managements such as determination of environmental flow and control of invasive species
