Matthew B. Young

I am an Assistant Professor at Utah State University.

My curriculum vitae can be found here.

My research is partially supported by the National Science Foundation and a Simons Foundation Travel Support for Mathematicians grant.

My research lies at the intersection of representation theory, geometry and algebra and related mathematical physics. More specifically, I study Hall algebras, quantum groups and matrix factorizations and their roles in Donaldson-Thomas theory, Chern-Simons theory and Rozansky-Witten theory.

Together with Nathan Geer, Mark Hughes and Maggie Miller, I organize the Moab Topology Conference.
