What our students say

"The tutors and external staff are very supportive and highly knowledgeable. The atmosphere in class has always been pleasant to work in and we have been given the freedom to express ourselves. My overall experience being on this course has been brilliant, it’s reasonably priced, helps with networking and helps with professional development and personal development.  I highly recommend this course to students who would like to study counselling but can’t afford the high university price."

"After completing my level 3 course I realised I would like to progress further in this career and was particularly interested in the Person Centred Approach as the humanistic values appealed to me.  I was delighted to be received onto the course and have enjoyed every single moment of it.  I have learnt and grown throughout the course both personally and academically.  The teaching is gentle and professional and has allowed me to grow at my own pace.  The tutors have been supportive and are genuinely interested in my progress and my wellbeing.  I would recommend this course to anybody looking to proceed further with their interest in counselling.  The professional counsellors within my agency have recognised how I have been taught and believe that the affiliation with the CPCAB is extremely useful.  Being taught within this professional framework of ethics and guidelines has allowed my colleagues to feel more secure in my working practice."

"I have done a number of counselling courses in the past but this Diploma is outstanding as it covers a lot of ground in 2 years.  The advantage of this course is that there is a small group and one gets individual and group support from the tutors.  Both tutors are experienced and practising counsellors.  This means you can ask questions and get advice about theory, coursework and placements.  Also there is email support as well during the week which has been a great help as one gets a prompt reply.  I don't know of any other course which offers this amount of support.  This for me has been invaluable. The course involves theory, practice, group exercises, group supervision, personal development groups and tutorial support throughout and even support after the course has finished.  There is a good balance between theory and practice.  I feel I have had an excellent grounding in Person-Centered Counselling and would highly recommend this course which is value for money."
