Group Facilitation Practice Training

Venue: Shipley, West Yorkshire  or Leeds tbc
Cost: £299 for the 4 days
Refreshments: Although lunch will not be provided, other refreshments will be available on each day.
Accessibility, Parking and Transport:  The centre is fully accessible to wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties.  Parking is available near the venue. The railway station is a short walk away.

Intended Audience:  This course is designed for any professional who is working with groups, who wants to develop group facilitation skills.  

Course Delivery:  The course will involve group facilitation practice, discussion, group activities and input on relevant theory. 

Course Strands: The three core strands running through the four days will be skills, theory and application to practice.

By the end of this course you will have:

o Acquired a foundation knowledge of group facilitation practice
o Explored the factors involved in planning and preparing to run a group
o Gained an understanding of the different skills involved in facilitating groups
o Gained an understanding of relevant group theory related to stages, processes, group development and interpersonal dynamics
o Have had opportunities to practise facilitating a small group with feedback for your development
o Gained some awareness of self as a facilitator and of the personal attributes you bring to this role
o Had opportunities to reflect on your own practice as a facilitator running groups in your own work context
