About us:-

Established in 2014, York Rouleurs Cycling Club is a friendly British Cycling-affiliated club aimed at encouraging group cycling for those based in and around York, North Yorkshire.

Initially conceived as an alternative to riding alone, we provide individuals with a time and place to meet, and the added security of the company of experienced group cyclists. Our weekly rides regularly attract up to 30 riders, all passionate about road cycling and with varying experience and ability. During good weather we often have rides through the week too.

We also have an active social media presence, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and our website Forum, which acts as our virtual clubhouse and allows our members to help shape our club. Cycling is a great way to meet new people and we arrange regular social activities around our cycling events!

If you wish to take part in the weekly ‘Club Run’, simply turn up before 9am on Sundays at Cycle Heaven, 31 Hospital Fields Road, York, YO10 4FS. Rides are between 30 and 40 miles in length, at an overall average speed of between 15 and 18mph. We conclude our rides with coffee & cake at a local cafe. Helmets must be worn and mudguards are required when the clocks change in October through to March.

HOW DO I JOIN YRCC?
We welcome new riders to join us as a guest for up to three rides. After that, you can join via York Rouleurs on British Cycling.

HOW FAR AND HOW FAST DO YOU RIDE?
Rides are between 30 and 40 miles in length, at an average speed of between 15-18mph. We conclude our rides with a coffee stop at a local cafe.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
As with any ride, make sure you carry the essentials, including a couple of inner tubes, tyre levers, a mini pump, a multi-tool and money for the cafe stop. Dress for the conditions and make sure you have enough food and liquid to see you through the ride.

WHAT IF I’VE NEVER RIDDEN IN A GROUP BEFORE?
You can read our Club Run Etiquette Guide, and Code of Conduct, but the best thing to do is just come along and learn from how other people ride.
