Plans have been announced for major redevelopment of ‘York Central’ - the area surrounding the railway station, including York RI’s Queen Street site.
The proposals will have a serious impact on York RI Queen Street and the facilities we provide here for York residents.
Public consultation on the York Central development will start on the 18th January. Before we give our considered response we would like the personal views of people who use the facilities.
An open meeting for all YRI members and users will be held in the Main Hall at Queen Street at 7.30pm on Thursday 28th January. This meeting will be used to share information about the likely impact of the York Central development and to consider the options and implications.  York RI will then submit a formal response to the consultation.  If you wish to make your contribution to this matter but are unable to attend the meeting please contact: Colin Weir – General Manager York RI  - info@yorkri.org.uk
Please show your interest and concerns about the future of the Queen Street facilities by attending the meeting, and then submitting your personal response to the consultation by 15th February. It is important that as many people as possible take part, to make your views known and influence the outcome of the consultation.
