Homemade Granola


Homemade Granola

8 Cups Quick Oats
1 1/2 cups Wheat Germ
1 1/2 cups Oat Bran
1 Cup Finely Chopped Walnuts
1 Cups Finely Chopped Pecans
1 1/2 tsp. Salt

Syrup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
3/4 Cup Honey
3/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Raisins or Dried Cranberries (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray (pam).  In large bowl combine oats, wheat germ, bran,  & nuts.  In a saucepan, over med - low heat stir together salt, brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, oil, cinnamon and vanilla.  Bring to a boil then pour over dry ingredients, stir to coat.  Spread onto cookie sheets and bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.  Stirring a couple times throughout baking time.  Add raisins and/or cranberries.  Allow to cool, store in airtight container.

Great added to yogurt, eaten plain or as a cereal.
