York’s Chocolate Story is an entertaining and informative guided tour through the history of York’s most famous chocolate-making families and their finest creations. A visit to York’s CHOCOLATE Story is the perfect start to discovering the important role which York has played in how we enjoy chocolate in the UK today.
Prices are £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for students and senior citizens, £7.50 for children (aged 5 – 15) and £28 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). Best prices are available online. The Rowntree Society, is a charity set up to try to ensure that the work and ideas of the Rowntree family continue to influence a new generation. The Rowntree Society shares information about Joseph Rowntree, the famous chocolate manufacturer and philanthropist, and other members of the family, including his son, Seebohm Rowntree.
