Chocolate Eggs - Discover more about the history of chocolate and watch a demonstration in the Castle Kitchen using chocolate to produce moulded eggs.

Time – 10am to 5pm Location – St Sampson’s Square Event – York Chocolate Festival Market Filled with traders selling their handmade chocolate, desserts and sweets, alongside hot treats such as crepes and churros but also the not so obvious such as alcohol and pies flavoured with chocolate. Cost – Free entrance
Time – 10am to 5pm Location – York’s Chocolate Story, King’s Square Event - 250 Years of Terry’s (A New Exhibition) Celebrating the 250th anniversary one of York’s most important companies: Terry’s! Showcasing a selection of the most interesting of the Terry’s products from opium based throat sweets to some of the most beautiful and decedent chocolate boxes in history (running throughout 2017).

Time – 11am Location – York Cocoa House, Blake Street Event - Easter Bunny & Spring Chicks Chocolate Model Making Handpainting your mould, then using your favourite chocolate to create your very own Easter Bunny or Spring Chick. Then beautifully package to take home. Cost – Adult £17.50, Child £12.50.
Time – 1pm to 5pm Location – Demonstration Area, St Sampson’s Square Event – Chocolate Demonstrations Local chefs and chocolatiers will be demonstrating how to make chocolate and how to use chocolate in sweet and savoury dishes. Demonstrations will be each hour, on the hour - 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm Cost – Free entrance, drop in and take a seat
Time – 1.30pm Location – York Cocoa House, Blake Street Event – Chocolate Truffle Making Create your own chocolate truffles, and then learn how to professionally temper the chocolate so you can hand dip and then decorate your chocolates before before taking them home. Cost – Adult £17.50, Child £12.50.
Time – 3pm Location – York Cocoa House, Blake Street Event – Easter Egg Decorating Create your very own Easter egg! You will hand paint your design into your egg mould before choosing your favourite chocolate to work with. You will then beautifully packaging your creations to take home and show off or share!
Five Rowntrees Walks Five unique walks around the city that show you Rowntrees history. Booklet with information for these walks can be picked up at the information point (demonstration area) on St Sampson’s Square. Price – A donation would be greatly appreciated.
“A Very Terry Easter” Goddards House and Garden 15th April – 23rd April Come and join in some very chocolatey fun! From chocolate trails, to blindfold taste tests and chocolate box making and chocolate talks. Enjoy a very Terry Easter and indulge in some chocolate orange cake in the dining room; and then walk it off with a breath of fresh air in the garden!
