The Chocolate Market - The Chocolate Market will take place throughout Parliament Street and will be open from 9.30am - 5.30pm 

The Chocolate Festival Marquee,  St Sampson's Square, York, YO1 9QT  
Chocolate Cafe, demonstrations, tastings and workshops will take place throughout the day in the festival marquee from 10am - 7.00pm

Try your luck at a range of Chocolate Challenges, where you’ll be able to battle your wits and show off your chocolate skills!

Wired High Ropes Challenge Easter Egg Hunt
This fabulous Fun outdoor activity is from 7 years upwards and has the added challenge of finding hidden eggs along the course. This Easter you can Work off the chocolate or allow yourself more after this Physical test of balance and agility!

11.00am - Easter Chocolate Nests Hands-on Chocolate Making Workshop with York Cocoa House

Chocolate Making

Get stuck in learning how to make a chocolate nest this Easter to hold all of your special chocolates. During this hands-on workshop all participants will get stuck in, working with chocolate to create a chocolate nest to be filled with chocolate truffles and mini eggs. You will make your chocolate nest before beautifully packaging your creation to take home and show off, share or maybe just enjoy!

11.00am - 1.00pm Chocolate Easter Egg Masterchef - The Mansion House, St Helen's Square
Discover the art of making gorgeous chocolate Easter Eggs in this chocolate masterclass. You will learn how to temper chocolate before making your own Easter Egg filled with chocolates.

2.00pm - 3.00pm Raw Chocolate Making - Hands-on Chocolate Making Workshop with York Cocoa House

Choc Chick's Raw chocolate is made with the basic ingredients that go into chocolate. You will work with the raw ingredients of cocoa powder, cocoa butter and agar nectar, a natural fructose used to sweeten, there is no dairy, sugar or gluten in these ingredients.

During this hands-on workshop all participants will get stuck in, working with the raw ingredients to create actual chocolate. Once made you can add your choice of ingredients to make your chocolate into an interesting chocolate bar of your own creation.

You will need to allow your chocolate products to set before coming back 1 hour later to beautifully packaging your creation to take home and show off, share or maybe just enjoy!

The Rowntree Apprentices

3.00pm - The Apprentice - Chocolate Tea & Talk 
The Mansion House, St Helen's Square

Life at 28 Pavement as a Rowntree Grocer's Apprentice. Dr Bridget Morris of the Rowntree Society will look at a survey of daily life for the many generations of apprentices who worked in the famous business established by Joseph Rowntree in 1822, including George Cadbury and Lewis Fry.

6.00pm - Chocolate and Whisky Tasting 
The Chocolate Festival Marquee, St Sampson's Square
Join the team from the Whisky shop for an introduction into tasting and combining whisky and chocolate flavours.
