Yooil (Joseph) Bae 

Biography:

Yooil Bae ("Joseph") is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at Dong-A University, Busan, South Korea. Formerly he worked as a full-time  Lecturer and Founding Faculty at Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management at Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV, 2018-21). Before joining FUV, he was also an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Singapore Management University (2008-2017) and Postdoctoral Fellow at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (2007-8). He is the co-author of two books in English and a monograph in Korean . He is specialized in comparative politics and public policy, East Asian politics, urban and regional political economy and state-civil society relationships.  He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (2007), M.A. in public administration from Korea University (2000), and B.A. in public administration from Inha University, South Korea.

배유일은 현재 동아대학교 사회과학대학 행정학과 조교수를 거처 부교수로 재직중이다(2021- 현재). 동아대에 부임하기 전 싱가포르국립대 리콴유공공정책대학원 박사후연구원을(2007-8), 싱가포르경영대 사회과학부 정치학전공 조교수(2008-2017), 풀브라이트베트남대에서 정책대학원 교수(2018-2021)를 역임하였다.  <기획론> <도시행정> <지역개발> <행정사례분석> <한국행정론> 등의 과목을 가르치고 있다.
