Currently, I serve as a Distinguished Researcher at Huawei Technologies Canada, where I am the director of the Vancouver Big Data and Intelligence Platform Lab. Prior to joining Huawei, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Stanford University from October 2014 to July 2016, after completing my Ph.D. in Operations Research at Simon Fraser University。

My research endeavors cover a broad spectrum of disciplines but are particularly focused on the following areas:

• Developing cost-effective cloud-based AI technologies for fine-tuning and inferencing Large Language Models (LLMs), aimed at significantly reducing operational expenses.

• Harnessing the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) to address complex, real-world challenges across diverse sectors, including operations research, analytical databases, and large-scale data systems.

• Exploring responsible AI practices in the realm of LLMs, focusing on innovative techniques such as data and model watermarking, and federated learning methodologies.
