Playing To Learn Update
The Main Room and Toddler Room are moving toward team teaching and away from groups. Teachers will remain in ratio, but this will provide the children with more opportunity to participate in the activities that they are interested in. Groups will still be used when planning excursions outside of the centre and swim times.
On March 24, the PAC is hosting an art auction to raise money for the centre. The pieces to be auctioned off will be created by the children at the centre. More details about the event will become available as the date nears.
Infant room renovations will begin mid-March/beginning of April. The infants and staff will move into the kinder room during this time, with the kinders moving into the Auditorium.
With the weather getting warmer, please send splash pants for your child(ren). They will help keep children a little cleaner when they head outside, while preventing them from getting too warm with the thickness of ski-pants.
As a preventative security measure, deadbolts have been installed on the main entrances to the centre. Families will no longer have access to the centre after hours, as doors will be locked at closing.
The children in the centre like to get messy, and accidents do happen! We are in need of boys pants, preferably larger for some of our older children.
We are also asking for shirts (sizes 2-3) for our toddlers to use as paint shirts.
