Class Rules

Mrs. Ramirez has 4 general rules to be successful in her class.
  1. Treat others how you want to be treated.
    • Respect will go a long way in the classroom and in life. Treat others with respect and kindness. Remember that we are all learners and it is ok to make mistakes. It is never ok to make fun of people for not doing something correctly. Instead, we should support and encourage our peers so that we all may be successful. You can only fail if you never try.
  2. Raise your hand when you want to make a comment or ask a question.
    • With so many students in our room and so many skills to cover,it is important that we all have an equal opportunity to learn. Raising our hands allows every student a chance to get clarification and be heard.
  3. Students must have permission to be out of their seat.
    • For the safety of all students, Mrs. Ramirez must be aware of where students are at all times, therefore, students need to ask before leaving the room or relocating to a different area. Students should also be aware of the procedures for retrieving items in the classroom.
  4. Students should remain attentive to all speakers in the class.
    • Conversations, questions, and comments should not take place while the teacher or other students are addressing the class with out first raising your hand and being called upon. This ensures that every student has heard the information and that every student has a chance to share their ideas, opinions, and answers in a respectful manner.

The consequences for failing to adhere to these rules will follow "The Raider Way"

  1. Verbal Warning
  2. Call Home
  3. Buddy Room/ Reflection Sheet
  4. Referral/ Student Center
