I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo. I am also affiliated to the Institute of Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo.
My main research area is applied probability. Currently I am working on the random locations (e.g., the location of the supremum, the hitting times, etc.) of stochastic processes/random fields exhibiting certain probabilistic symmetries. In general I am interested in various problems in probability theory, such as random algebraic topology, extreme value theory, ergodic theory and financial mathematics. I am also interested in statistics and quantum information.
