Ying Zhu is an Associate Professor in the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University (GSU), with a joint appointment in the Department of Computer Science. His research areas are 3D computer graphics, data visualization, and human computer interactions. He is also an Associate Member of the Neuroscience InstituteHis research projects have been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institute of Health (NIH). He teaches a comprehensive set of courses on computer graphics, game design, and data visualization. 


Before joining GSU, he was a Senior Software Engineer at CA Technologies. He received a PhD from George Mason University, a Master’s degree from University of Electronic Science & Technology of China, and a Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Jiaotong University, all in Computer Science.
