Research Interests

My research interests has been in two general areas: (1) studying the impacts of climate change (drought, extreme precipitation patterns) on terrestrial ecosystem productivity across biomes, land surface processes, and soil and water conservation; and (2) modeling  terrestrial ecosystem GPP and global carbon cycles with sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence from space

The work of mine is necessarily interdisciplinary and collaborative. Much of the research has utilized an integrated approach that is a combination of remote sensing (MODIS, GOSAT, GOME-2), eddy covariance flux measurement, hydrology and erosion models, GCM, statistical downscaling approaches and field measurements.
