Captains & Co-Captains

Solascriptura. I always figured Jesus was a cowboy since he rides colts and horses
Revelation 19:14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure..
Matthew 21:5 "Announce to the people of Jerusalem: `Your king is coming to you! He is humble and rides on a donkey. He comes on the colt of a donkey.' "

Shalom!  I am HerbB52, Herb Brooks like the famous hockey coach.  I live in Leesburg, Georgia, which is in SoWeGa (South West Georgia).

I came to know Yeshua as savior when I was eleven years old.  I have read my Bible daily for most of the time I have been a believer, which has given me a great confidence in the Word of God, and has been invaluable in strengthening my faith.

I have been married to Christine for thirty-nine years, who I met at Bob Jones University.  We have five children and three grandchildren, one grandchild is with Yeshua, who live close enough to come over most Friday nights for dinner, which is an extreme blessing.

I am a retired Mars Information Services computer support person who worked at the Mars Chocolate plant in Albany, Georgia for 33+ years.  Mars Chocolate are the folks who make M&Ms and Snickers.

Chris and I have attended Beit Shalom Messianic Synagogue in Thomasville, GA, about a 70 minute drive, for about 4 years, where I am the Treasurer.  Our children attend Baptist churches in Albany (much closer).

At Beit Shalom I also play recorder, the block or fipple flute, in the Praise and Worship team.

I have worked in a fair booth at the regional fair in Albany for 22 in association with my church and synagogue.  My guesstimate is that we passed out close to 250,000 gospel tracts.

I of course enjoy playing chess.  It definitely helps to be retired.

I have a blog,
Why Messianic? on subjects of concern to me related to my faith in Yeshua.  Did you know that writing is hard work?
